General Instructions

Please arrive 15 minutes early for your booking at Hour to Midnight – Escape Rooms Portland to ensure time for check-in and a game briefing. Your host will walk you through the storyline and rules before your adventure begins. Wear comfortable clothes and be ready to think on your feet, search thoroughly, and communicate with your team. Mobile phones and personal items will be safely stored outside the room to maintain immersion. After the game, celebrate your efforts with a group photo and optional debrief.

  • Arrive Early

    Reach 15–20 minutes before your scheduled time for check-in, briefing, and preparation.

  • Work as a Team

    Escape rooms are all about teamwork. Share clues, talk openly, and collaborate to solve puzzles.

  • Avoid Using Force

    Don’t push, pull, or break props. Everything you need is accessible without brute force.

  • Don’t Give Up Easily

    Sometimes, the hardest puzzles are the most rewarding. If you get stuck, it’s okay to take a step back and revisit with fresh eyes.

  • Respect Other Players

    If you're playing in a public escape room and there are other teams, be mindful of their space. Don't disturb their gameplay by speaking loudly or interfering.
